Jaser Abu Mousa, a Palestinian political analyst at the Washington, DC-based Middle East Institute lost his wife, two of his children, and additional close relatives in an Israeli missile strike on his home in Khan Younis in the Gaza Strip shortly after October 7th, 2023. I received very positive feedback when he first appeared on The Debrief two months ago. Debriefers appreciated the opportunity to hear Jaser’s personal story and learn about the dire situation in Gaza.
I invited Jaser to come back on The Debrief to talk about the release of his new report for MEI: “The Strategic Cost of Palestinian Powerlessness: Why Restoring Palestinian Political Agency Is an Arab and International Security Imperative.” It just came out today so I’ve only had a chance to skim it so far, but it looks extremely interesting. I’m excited to read it before our live podcast tomorrow at 12pm Eastern.
