It was a pleasure to join
, along with of the Muslim Public Affairs Council, for this smart and spirited Muslim-Jewish dialogue/therapy session. If interfaith solidarity is built one well-informed, empathetic “monotheistic potluck” at a time, count me in. Thanks to Waj for hosting and to everyone for watching. Share the episode and I look forward to your comments.[Note: Haris and I are on with Waj for the first hour and a bit. After that, he’s joined by Allison Gill of Mueller, She Wrote.]
Up next! On Wednesday at 3pm Eastern, I’ll be hosting Khaled Elgindy.
Khaled is one of the most incisive analysts of US policy on Palestine and Israel in Washington, DC and a keen observer of the broader regional context in the Middle East. He is the author of Blind Spot: America and the Palestinians, from Balfour to Trump and a Visiting Scholar and Adjunct Instructor at Georgetown’s Center for Contemporary Arab Studies. Previously, he directed the Middle East Institute’s Program on Palestine and Israeli-Palestinian Affairs and was as a resident scholar at the Brookings Institution. From 2004-09, he served as an adviser to the Palestinian leadership in Ramallah on permanent status negotiations with Israel.
I look forward to unpacking the pathologies of US policy toward Israel-Palestine with him and considering how to create the conditions for a more just, secure, and peaceful future.
The link to join Khaled and me is here. I hope you’ll join us.
